What do I mean my Evolution of God?

To explain what I mean the evolution of God, I must define my terms.  My concept of God is all of Ultimate Reality. By evolution, I mean evolution as change over time with emergence of new properties as mainstream science defines the concept.

So what I mean by the Evolution of God is that Ultimate Reality changes over time, that new properties of this Ultimate Realtiy emerge over time.  Toward the beginning, shortly after the Great Radiance (a.k.a. the Big Bang) Ultimate Reality was simply space, time and energy. Then matter emerged, followed by life, consciousness, and then self-reflection. Compassion emerged at one point, as did other attributes that religions traditionally associate with God.

Despite the polarizing words "God" and "Evolution", most people I have talked to about this idea have given it consideration. When I elaborate, they get it. The idea makes sense. It makes so much intuitive sense that some know it before I say it. I have spoken to atheists, to liberal Christians, to scientists, to agnostics. And recently I spoke to a Christian who interprets the Bible literally. He seemed to understand that the Evolution of God in no way detracts from the importance, spiritual truth and authority of the Bible.
